On October 11, 2017, TCA held its annual gala at Gaylord National Harbor in Washington, DC. The funds will be used to purchase and place remembrance wreaths on the gravestones of fallen veterans at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 1,500 veterans' cemeteries across the country.
Notable personalities at the gala included keynote speaker Colonel Mark Tillman, a former pilot and commander of Air Force One, Sue Pollard, president of American Gold Star Mothers, Lieutenant Colonel Sid Taylor, chaplain of Arlington National Cemetery, and Joe Everson, an artist and vocalist who led the singing of the National Anthem at the gala.
