During its Annual Convention, the organization hosts the Scholarship Fund Gala in support of this fund, and TCA was recently able to raise more than $120,000 to fund future scholarships.
The 2017 Scholarship Fund Gala featured a country-western theme and encouraged attendees to wear bolo ties and cowboy hats as they bid on live and silent auction items. At the live auction, attendees could bid on everything from diamond earrings and other jewelry to a meet and greet with Sugar Ray Leonard. TCA even offered a trip to the 2017 Transportation Executive Summit, along with a trip to New York for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Meanwhile, silent auction participants had the chance to bid on trips around the country and one-of-a-kind artwork.
Thanks to support from the Scholarship Fund Gala hosts - Freightliner Trucks and Pilot Flying J - the TCA was able to put 100 percent of all proceeds toward its scholarship program.
